Tahra has been designing and creating since childhood in St. Paul, Minnesota where she was raised among creatives; florists, artists, writers, music enthusiasts, and teachers. She can remember turning her tricycle upside down to create a “sewing machine” and some of her favorite memories were wondering around art museums in Minneapolis.

After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, where she met he husband Michael, Tahra created a classroom where she taught elementary school until the arrival of her sons, Drake and Duke.

Tahra continued her passion for sewing by creating a baby clothing line, Petite Squad, with her partner in crime Katie Wilke so the two could stay at home while fostering a creative outlet.

Through creating a space for her family to call home, Tahra learned the building process from the ground up and experienced the excitement of designing interiors. Taking her toolbox of sewing skills, organization, and the fiery urge to design, Tahra has created a sewing workroom to assist in projects for homeowners, interior designers, and builders.
